As a co-founder of "The Saffron Project," Dr. Amit Mirgal is proud to introduce a premium Kashmiri saffron brand that embodies both rich heritage and scientific integrity.
With a Doctorate in Philosophy in Botany and extensive research experience, including
co-authoring a notable publication on saffron adulteration, he brings a unique perspective
to this venture.
He has worked closely with American Botanical Council’s The ABC-AHP-NCNPR Botanical Adulterants Prevention Program (BAPP) which is one of the largest international consortium focused on reducing adulteration in botanical ingredients used in dietary (food) supplements, conventional foods, cosmetics, and other natural health products.
His deep understanding of the biological and ecological aspects of saffron cultivation ensures that the product not only meets the highest quality standards but also supports sustainable farming practices in Kashmir.
